Samsung Pay works virtually anywhere you can tap your contactless card. Plus, you can also make payments in apps and on websites where you see Samsung Pay.

If your phone or watch has been stolen or lost, you can use Samsung’s SmartThings Find service to remotely disable your cards on that device. You can also call us on 0345 975 8005 so that we can stop transactions on your account. You can call this number if there are any unrecognised Samsung Pay transactions on your account.
Samsung Pay doesn’t store your card details on your device. So, if anyone finds or steals your device, they won’t be able to access that information even if it’s unlocked.
You can remotely lock or erase your Samsung Pay account with the SmartThings Find service.
You can use Samsung Pay with most TSB current accounts and credit cards. The only cards that aren’t supported are:
- ATM Cards
- Under 19 accounts if the customer is under 18 years old
- Accounts with Control
- Additional card holder credit cards
If you have a new or replacement card, you'll need to activate it before Samsung Pay can work.
Yes, Samsung Pay acts the same way as your card – so you’ll still earn the rewards that come with your TSB credit or debit card.
To make sure it's you who's trying to register the device, we'll give you the option to complete the verification by SMS or by calling TSB on the displayed number.
If you choose SMS, we'll send a verification code to the mobile number registered to your account. All you need to do is enter the code in the Wallet app.
Making payments in stores
- Look for stores displaying the Samsung Pay or contactless symbol.
- When paying, check the amount on the terminal or with the cashier – this won’t display on your device.
- If you’re happy, simply swipe up on the screen or open the Samsung Wallet app from your home screen and select your TSB card. Hold the device near the contactless reader and authenticate your payment using iris scanner (on compatible devices), fingerprint or your Samsung Wallet PIN.
To pay in shops using your Samsung watch, press and hold the button on the back of your watch and then enter your PIN. Next, rotate the visual bezel to select card and tap ‘PAY’. Hold your watch close to the contactless card reader for the payment to be processed.
Pay on Transport for London (TfL)
Samsung Pay allows you to set a card up as a ‘Transport card’ to use on TfL services. This option means you don’t even need to wake your phone or verify with iris scanner, fingerprint or your Samsung Pay PIN – simply touch the middle section of your phone against the card reader.
You can use Samsung Pay to make purchases in participating apps. When prompted for payment, simply tap on the 'Buy with Samsung Pay' button, and follow onscreen instructions to complete your purchase.
If you prefer to use your TSB card to make payments, then make sure you set it as the default card in your Samsung Pay settings. You can do this by simply selecting your preferred TSB card in settings and tapping 'Set as default card.
In most stores you’ll be able to spend up to £100 per contactless transaction but there are some that’ll let you make higher value payments. If the contactless payment limit is changed from the default maximum using the TSB app, then this will become your new maximum limit for using Samsung Pay in-store. And in apps, there’s no upper limit.
You can do this by simply selecting your preferred TSB card in settings and tapping 'Set as default card'.

If you replace or update your device, you’ll need to add your card(s) to Samsung Pay again.
Please make sure that you remove your card(s) from any device before selling, exchanging, or disposing of them. You should also remove your card if you temporarily pass your device to someone else; for example, if you pass it to be repaired.
Samsung Pay uses Tokenization and Samsung Knox to secure your payment information. Additionally, your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN is required to authorise in-store purchases, or iris scanning on compatible devices.
