Mark Curran to step down as TSB Customer Banking Director; Adam Lishman appointed successor

TSB has today announced that after five years Mark Curran, Customer Banking Director, has announced his intention to step down from the bank.

Following an extensive search, Adam Lishman has been appointed to the role from May, subject to regulatory approval, and following an orderly handover with Mark.

Mark has been pivotal to helping TSB deliver its Money Confidence purpose and growth strategy since joining the bank in 2019. He has played a key role leading TSB’s technology transformation, improving its business banking offering, and evolving TSB’s brand, products, and propositions to deliver more for customers.

Adam joins TSB on 1 May and will be responsible for providing products, propositions, partnerships and marketing communications that meet TSB’s customers’ needs, making them feel money confident while driving commercial growth.

Robin Bulloch, TSB Chief Executive Officer, thanked Mark Curran for the pivotal role he has played in helping deliver the bank’s strategy and welcomed Adam’s appointment:

  • Adam Lishman has over 20 years’ experience in financial services and telecommunications. Most recently, he was part of Barclays UK Executive team, as Managing Director Everyday Money Management, where he led current accounts and unsecured lending for the past three years.
  • Prior to this, he held a number of senior executive roles at Barclays and BT, leading finance, commercial, transformation, and treasury.
  • He started his career in telecommunications at 20:20 Mobile Group.
