TSB Executive Committee Update
TSB is pleased to announce two new appointments to its Executive Committee - Cheryl McCuaig as Chief Technology and Digital Officer and Richard Lees as Chief Risk Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Cheryl has an exceptional track record in technology leadership roles in Investment, Commercial and Retail banking. She started her career at HSBC and has also undertaken senior roles at Credit Suisse, Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group. She is currently Chief Information Officer at Metro Bank. Cheryl’s extensive experience will help accelerate TSB’s digital plans to meet the growing needs of customers.
Richard brings significant Risk and Credit expertise to TSB, with experience of leading the Risk function in mid-tier banks through his recent roles as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Co-op Bank and, currently, Metro Bank. He started his career at Bank of America and also spent more than ten years in Credit leadership roles at HBOS / Lloyds Banking Group. Richard has a reputation for having a strong customer-focus and long-standing experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Cheryl McCuaig
Cheryl brings extensive experience to TSB with over 35 years’ experience in technology leadership roles in Investment, Commercial and Retail banking.
She started her career at HSBC and has undertaken senior roles leading large scale transformation programmes. Her roles have included Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, and IT Risk Director at JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group. Most recently she was Chief Information Officer at Metro Bank.
Cheryl is also a Non-Executive Director of the DVLA.
Richard Lees
Richard has significant Risk and Credit expertise, and knowledge of leading Risk functions in mid-tier banks through his recent experiences as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Co-op Bank and, most recently, at Metro Bank.
He has a wealth of experience leading risk teams across financial services and embedding a strong customer focused risk culture. He has held a number of senior roles, spending more than ten years in Credit leadership at HBOS / Lloyds Banking Group. He started his career at Bank of America.
